Careys Caves Wee Jasper

Burrinjuck Waters State Park
Lake Burrinjuck is 75 hectares of un-spoilt Australian bush nestled on the Southern escarpment of Mt. Barren Jack. It offers spectacular scenery and friendly wildlife in their natural state. The park is quiet and peaceful with tranquil surroundings.
Cooma Cottage – once home to explorer Hamilton Hume
Situated on the Yass River, Cooma Cottage is in the heart of some of New South Wales' richest sheep grazing country and during the 1830s, brothers Henry and Cornelius O'Brien joined other pioneers such as Hume in settling these rich, open plains.
Hume & Hovell Walking Track
The Hume and Hovell Walking Track stretches over 440km between Yass and Albury and allows walkers to rediscover the route of explorers Hamilton Hume and William Hovell on their expedition to Port Phillip in 1824.
Yass & District Museum and Railway Museum
From its formation in 1961 the Society have actively collecting objects of historical interest related to Yass and district. The museum was officially opened in its present location in December 1988 after extensive refurbishments were made to a former garage over a period of some five years.
Crisps Gallery
Peter Crisp started experimenting with glass in 1978 using the Ancient Egyptian technique of "slumped glass", heat and gravity to shape and form glass. Since 1983 he has had numerous solo exhibitions, represented now in major public collections and has retailed his work in the most prestigious outlets around the world.
Cool Climate Wineries
The Canberra District - which includes a large area centering on Yass - is a small but exciting wine region, full of boutique wineries and passionate winemakers. The climate in Canberra is cool by Australian standards, with the lower elevations able to ripen varieties such as cabernet sauvignon and shiraz, and the higher elevations being among Australia's coolest, well suited to varieties such as riesling and pinot noir. Chardonnay consistently performs well in the continental climate, although Clonakilla is proving that shiraz has exceptional potential.
Minson Art Glass
Peter Minson, glass artist, working with the lampworking technique, creates a variety of forms including goblets, candleholders, stemware, figurines, jewelry and art glass sculpture. The artist is also a teacher and sells borosilicate, Moretti glass along with books, equipment and supplies.
Clearview Alpacas
Clearview Alpacas at "Argyle Park" has over 100 alpacas on 120 picturesque acres in the fine wool Yass NSW district, just 3 minutes from the Hume Highway. A wide range of country priced alpacas always for sale, together with stud services and friendly after-sale support and advice.
Yass Picnic Races in March
The historic six race meeting is amongst the longest running picnic race meets in Australia and draws crowds from across Australia. Held at the Marchmont country race track, the gentle hill and established trees make for a picturesque destination.
A wide variety of entertainment beyond the racetrack is provided for all ages, with a particular focus on making the day for all the family.

Murrumbateman Field Days
The Murrumbateman Field Days is an annual event dedicated to small area farming, with exhibitors displaying a wide range of machinery, equipment, services and animals. There is a ladies lifestyle marquee and the “Spotlight on Murrumbateman” that displays the wonderful variety of products and services such as chocolates, coffee, olives, honey, wine and pottery to mention a few.
